Grand Theft Auto 5 fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Enhanced version on PC, and the wait is almost over.
Rockstar Games has confirmed that GTA 5 Enhanced will officially launch on PC on March 4, 2025.
This version brings several exciting features from the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S editions to the PC platform, promising an upgraded experience for both GTA 5 and GTA Online players.
Key Features of GTA 5 Enhanced for PC
The GTA 5 Enhanced version comes with several exclusive upgrades, particularly for GTA Online. Players will get access to HSW Performance Upgrades for compatible vehicles, the GTA+ subscription service, technical improvements, a new Landing Page, Career Progress menu, and the Career Builder.
These features have been part of the next-gen console versions since their release in March 2022, and now, PC players can enjoy them too.
If you already own the standard GTA 5 on PC, you can upgrade to the Enhanced version for free starting on March 4. For now, players can pre-load the update via Steam or the Rockstar Games Launcher.
Can You Migrate Progress to the Enhanced Version?
Yes, when GTA 5 Enhanced releases on March 4, players will have the option to transfer both their story mode and GTA Online progress.
You can already start migrating your story mode save to the Enhanced version on PC, but it’s important to note that both story mode and GTA Online progress migration is a one-time process. Once completed, it cannot be undone.
What Happens to the Older Version?
Even after the Enhanced version drops, Rockstar will continue supporting the current version of GTA 5 on PC, now called Grand Theft Auto V Legacy.
However, there will be no cross-play between the Legacy and Enhanced versions, meaning players on the Legacy version will not be able to play GTA Online with those on the Enhanced version.
