Google co-founder Sergey Brin is now the world’s third-richest person, after Alphabet stock surged and pushed the company’s value above $4 trillion.

Brin passed Jeff Bezos and Larry Ellison on Tuesday as Alphabet shares climbed following strong investor enthusiasm around artificial intelligence. He now ranks behind fellow co-founder Larry Page and Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

Alphabet shares rose 1.3% to about $337, extending a strong rally over the past two weeks. The gains came as Oracle and Amazon shares fell, helping Brin move ahead in the wealth rankings.

On Monday, Alphabet became the fourth company ever to reach a $4 trillion market value, joining Nvidia, Microsoft, and Apple. Microsoft and Apple later slipped below the mark, while Alphabet held its ground.

Investor confidence rose further after Apple announced it will use Google’s Gemini AI to power future versions of Siri. The deal highlighted Alphabet’s growing influence in artificial intelligence.

According to Forbes, Brin’s net worth rose to $255.6 billion, up nearly $5 billion in one day. Bezos now ranks fourth at $253.2 billion, while Ellison sits fifth at $251.3 billion.

Alphabet stock gained 65% in 2025, its strongest annual performance in more than a decade. The surge followed major AI releases, including Gemini 3 and new in-house AI chips.

Analysts say Alphabet enters 2026 with strong momentum. Many point to its AI infrastructure, cloud growth, and long-term investments as reasons the company continues to pull ahead of rivals.
