The US Department of Justice has released transcripts and audio from recent interviews with Ghislaine Maxwell, the convicted accomplice of Jeffrey Epstein.

In the recordings, Maxwell said her father, the late British media tycoon Robert Maxwell, was an intelligence asset. Robert Maxwell, who died in 1991, has long been suspected of working with Israeli intelligence.

She also defended Donald Trump, saying he was “never inappropriate with anybody” during the times she saw him with Epstein. “In the times I was with him, he was a gentleman in all respects,” Maxwell said.

When asked directly if she ever heard Epstein or others accuse Trump of misconduct, she replied: “Absolutely never, in any context.”

Maxwell further claimed she was involved in the early stages of the Clinton Global Initiative and suggested Epstein may have helped arrange funding for it.

She also repeated her belief that Epstein did not die by suicide in 2019. “I do not believe he died by suicide,” Maxwell told investigators, though she said she did not know who may have been responsible.

While she denied ever working with Mossad herself, Maxwell admitted her father had intelligence ties. She also said she did not know if Epstein had connections to Israeli intelligence.

The transcripts add new details to one of the most controversial cases of recent decades, tying together high-profile names, global intelligence agencies, and unresolved questions surrounding Epstein’s death.
