Steam has once again given users a reason to check in with four brand new free games that are available to download and keep, no subscription required.
While some are better than others, it’s hard to turn away from a freebie. Here’s what’s up for grabs:
1. Project Hailstorm
Project Hailstorm is a short, atmospheric adventure where you play as an explorer trapped in an abandoned underground base in Antarctica.
Your goal is to uncover the mystery of what happened within the facility. Although it’s a brief game, it promises a tense, exploratory experience.
2. Anturi
In Anturi, you take on the role of a fighting cat-thing, performing wild moves reminiscent of Crash Bandicoot.
The game focuses on your search for your missing father as you navigate floating islands and interact with their inhabitants. It’s quirky and looks like it could be a lot of fun, despite its strange premise.
3. Relic Hunt
Relic Hunt is a simple clicker game where you match up various images to score points. Unfortunately, it’s not generating a lot of positive buzz, with many users expressing disappointment. It’s definitely a more casual experience, so if you’re a fan of clickers, you may still find something to enjoy here.
4. End Transmission?
End Transmission? offers a somber and reflective experience, as you decide how to spend your final day on Earth.
Whether it’s saying goodbye to loved ones, jamming to your favorite tunes, or simply watching the sunset in solitude, the choices make for a deeply personal experience. While the theme is bleak, it has a unique charm and looks worth exploring.
These titles are available for free now on Steam, so if any of them sound interesting to you, head over to the Steam store to grab them.
If none of these catch your eye, don’t worry—Steam offers plenty of other free games and demos to check out, including the wild demo of Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, which is definitely worth a try!
