Netmarble has officially released Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, a new free-to-play action RPG. The game is now available on PC (via Steam, Microsoft Store, and Epic Games Store), as well as iOS and Android devices.
It is currently live in the Americas, Europe, Africa, Oceania, and the Middle East. A release date for Asia will be announced later this year.
Players start as a new character in the Game of Thrones world. Strange events make them the heir to a small Northern house called House Tyre.
Players can choose from three classes: Knight, Sellsword, or Assassin. The game features real-time combat where players must use their class skills wisely to win battles.
The game tells an original story set in Westeros but includes familiar characters from the TV series. These characters look like the actors from the HBO show. One of the big boss fights includes the famous dragon Drogon, who appears as a Field Boss.
Game of Thrones: Kingsroad has expanded since its Early Access version. With its full launch, the game adds new zones like Storm’s End and Felwood, introduced in Chapter 3. More zones and stories will be added over time, letting players explore more of Westeros.
Netmarble also gave a warning to players: if you didn’t buy the Founder’s Pack DLC during Early Access, you may see it in your in-game mailbox by mistake. It will be removed soon if you didn’t purchase it.
The game’s director, Hyunil Jang, said future updates will include darker chapters. One part of the story will focus on religion and how it affects the people of Westeros when their king suddenly forces them to change their faith.
