Superman is making a big return to Fortnite this summer. Following a break from the game, Epic Games is set to release a new Superman skin timed with the release of the upcoming Superman movie on July 11th.
Along with the skin, players will also get a new mythic ability that “turns you into Superman.” While the exact details are unclear, it could involve a powerful ability, possibly offering temporary invincibility.
Superman skins were previously available in Fortnite back in 2021, offering the iconic look and a black “shadow” variant.
The new skin will likely draw inspiration from the upcoming DCU film, with director James Gunn hinting at designs based on the new cinematic universe. The upcoming movie will feature several DC characters, making Superman’s return a fitting choice.
Leakers ShiinaBR and FNBRintel have revealed the details, and while no other DC characters from the film are confirmed for Fortnite, there could be more surprises in store. The movie will introduce characters like Guy Gardner, Hawkgirl, and Mr. Terrific, though it remains to be seen if they’ll appear in the game.
With the movie’s release still a couple of months away, official announcements from Epic Games are expected to follow soon. For Fortnite fans, this summer promises exciting new content.
