Seunghan is officially stepping into the spotlight as a solo artist. On June 9, SM Entertainment confirmed that Seunghan’s solo debut is in the works, with a release scheduled for July.

A representative stated, “Seunghan is currently preparing for a solo debut, aiming for a release in July. Please look forward to it.”

Rumors of Seunghan’s solo activities first emerged in November 2023, shortly after his departure from RIIZE. At that time, SM explained that Seunghan would continue training with full support in production and management to develop his potential as a solo artist.

Seunghan originally debuted with RIIZE in September 2023, but following personal controversies, he halted all activities just two months later. RIIZE has since continued as a six-member group, releasing popular tracks like “Love 119” and “Boom Boom Bass.”

While SM briefly considered Seunghan’s return to RIIZE in October, fan backlash led to a reversal of that decision. Ultimately, Seunghan chose to leave the group, sharing a heartfelt apology: “I no longer want to cause harm. I sincerely hope the RIIZE I love will continue to be cherished and supported.”

With his solo debut now confirmed, fans and the K-pop industry are watching closely to see what new artistic direction Seunghan will present as he begins this fresh chapter of his career.
