Fans Share Sydney Sweeney Ice Cream Ad as American Eagle Controversy Grows

Sydney Sweeney American Eagle Ad

Sydney Sweeney, the star of Euphoria, is once again in the spotlight — this time because her Baskin Robbins ice cream ad has resurfaced online amid a controversy over her recent American Eagle jeans commercial.

The Baskin Robbins ad features Sydney wearing a pink dress while enjoying ice cream. The ad ends with the phrase “Sweet on Sydney menu,” promoting a special ice cream menu co-created by the actress.

This menu includes Sydney’s Signature Scoop, a rainbow sherbet cone topped with gummy bears, and Sydney’s Signature Fizz, a fizzy lemon-lime soda mixed with rainbow sherbet.

The ad originally came out in June 2025, before the American Eagle jeans commercial, which has caused backlash for its tagline, “Sydney Sweeney has great jeans.” Some critics claimed the jeans ad promotes eugenics, sparking a heated debate.

The White House defended the ad, criticizing “woke” narratives, and even former President Donald Trump called the ad “fantastic” after learning Sweeney is a registered Republican.

As the American Eagle controversy grew, fans and supporters began sharing the Baskin Robbins ad widely on social media. Many praised it for its fun and lighthearted tone. One user wrote, “Sydney Sweeney Baskin Robbins is gonna melt liberal minds.” Another said, “This Sydney Sweeney ad is incredibly sexy. Thanks, Baskin Robbins!”

Sydney herself has said she loves Baskin Robbins, sharing that the brand has been part of her life since childhood. She said, “I still go multiple times a week,” and was excited to create a menu that reflects her favorite treats.
