The final season of The Handmaid’s Tale will premiere on Hulu on April 8, 2025. The season will kick off with the release of three episodes, followed by weekly episodes leading to the series finale on May 27.
In the teaser trailer, protagonist June Osborne (played by Elisabeth Moss) narrates, reflecting on the symbolism of the red garments forced upon the women in Gilead, saying, “They believed that these garments that they put on our bodies told the world who we are.
To mark us, they put us in red — the color of blood. They forgot that it’s also the color of rage. The dress became our uniform, and we became an army.”
The final season’s storyline focuses on June’s ongoing fight against Gilead, as she reunites with allies like Luke and Moira to join the resistance.
Meanwhile, other characters such as Serena, Commander Lawrence, Aunt Lydia, and Nick face their own challenges, as the narrative explores themes of hope, courage, solidarity, and the pursuit of justice.
The final season stars Elisabeth Moss, Yvonne Strahovski, Bradley Whitford, Max Minghella, Ann Dowd, O.T. Fagbenle, Samira Wiley, Madeline Brewer, and more.
The series, based on Margaret Atwood’s novel, is produced by MGM Television and executive produced by Bruce Miller, Elisabeth Moss, and several others. International distribution is handled by Amazon MGM Studios Distribution.
