Samsung Electronics has unveiled plans for the EP-P2900, a 25W wireless charger designed to dramatically improve charging speeds for the upcoming Galaxy S26 series. FCC filings and retailer leaks reveal that the charger—codenamed “Zenith”—offers a 67% increase over the previous 15W EP-P2400, enabling the S26 Ultra to reach 50% charge in 25 minutes and full capacity in 65 minutes.

The EP-P2900 supports Qi2.1 multi-device charging, allowing simultaneous phone, earbuds, and smartwatch replenishment. Proprietary extended-range coils tolerate up to 20mm air gaps, and graphene-based heat dissipation keeps the charger fanless and cool. It is priced at $79 in a dark gray, fabric-clad design.

Samsung’s charging strategy is tiered across the S26 series: the Ultra features a 5,500mAh battery with 60W wired and 25W wireless support, while the S26+ and base S26 offer lower capacities and charging speeds. Upgrades leverage USB PD 3.1 for fast wired charging, and One UI 8 adds software safeguards to prolong battery health.

Analysts note that this move positions Samsung ahead of Apple’s 20W MagSafe wireless charging and makes the Galaxy S26 Ultra a strong competitor in the premium flagship segment. Production is set to ramp up at Samsung SDI facilities in Vietnam, with demonstrations expected at CES 2026.
