The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 has been spotted in leaked PCB photos, offering a closer look at its design ahead of its expected CES 2025 launch.
The unsoldered PCB reveals several important details about the upcoming flagship GPU, confirming some of the previously rumored specs.
Key Details from the Leak
One of the most noticeable features is the short PCB, which suggests Nvidia will continue using its familiar pass-through vapour chamber cooler in the reference design.
The leaked images also show that the RTX 5090 will utilize the 12V-2×6 power standard, capable of delivering up to 600W of power via the cable, although this has raised concerns within the PC community about its reliability.
VRAM and Launch Timeline
As previously leaked, the RTX 5090 is expected to be the only GPU in Nvidia’s Blackwell consumer lineup to feature 32GB of VRAM at launch.
The RTX 5090, alongside the RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 Ti, will be unveiled at CES 2025 and should be available in Q1 2025. The RTX 5080 is expected to launch first, with the RTX 5090 following shortly after.
With the RTX 5090 generating buzz ahead of its official reveal, these leaked photos give us a glimpse into what Nvidia has in store for gamers and professionals alike.
