Drake continues to cement his dominance in the rap game, scoring his 14th number one album on the Billboard 200 charts with $OME $EXY $ONGS 4 U, a joint project with longtime collaborator PARTYNEXTDOOR.

This achievement is particularly sweet for PND, marking his first-ever number one debut. To celebrate, Drake took to Instagram, giving a shout-out to his collaborator: “Number one album with my brother.”

While the success is undoubtedly significant, Drake didn’t stop there. The rapper teased an upcoming event in Toronto, hinting at a “Sauga City Trip” and a celebration in the city. “6 God. Celebration due in the city. Soon,” Drake added, setting fans buzzing about what’s to come.

A Milestone for Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR

This latest success sees Drake join Jay-Z at the top of the Billboard 200 charts with 14 number one albums. However, it’s worth noting that Drake has achieved this in just 15 years, compared to Jay-Z’s 19-year journey to the same milestone.

The success of $OME $EXY $ONGS 4 U may be a victory for the duo, but some critics point out that the album’s first-week sales, totaling 249K units, are the third-lowest of any of Drake’s albums. Despite the mixed reception, this commercial triumph proves that Drake continues to reign at the top of the industry.

As for the future, fans are eagerly awaiting what’s next for the rapper, with Drake’s teaser for a celebration in Toronto adding an air of mystery and excitement to his already monumental success.
