Donald Trump Says Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon Will Be Next to Lose Late-Night Shows

President Donald Trump has publicly criticized late-night hosts Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon, claiming they will soon lose their shows. This follows a recent confrontation between Trump and Stephen Colbert, who told Trump to “Go f*** yourself” during a broadcast.

Trump posted on Truth Social that Kimmel is “NEXT to go” in the late-night TV world, followed shortly by Fallon. He called both hosts “untalented” and accused them of ruining what used to be “GREAT Television.” Trump added, “It’s really good to see them go, and I hope I played a major part in it!”

Until now, there were no clear signs that Kimmel or Fallon faced cancellation. However, Trump’s comments come after Colbert’s controversial remarks, which many believe contributed to the announcement that The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will end in May 2026.

The decision is linked to ongoing media mergers requiring approval from regulatory bodies connected to Trump’s past FCC leadership.

In response, the White House criticized Colbert, calling his performance “deeply unfunny and out of touch” and defending Trump’s popularity among millions of Americans. Spokeswoman Taylor Rogers said, “Maybe he will come to terms with reality with all his new-found free time!”

Jimmy Kimmel responded vaguely to Trump’s remarks, suggesting he might be next but without clarifying what that meant.
