Donald Trump has launched his fifth non-fungible token (NFT) collection, marking his debut on Bitcoin Ordinals.
The collection, called “Trump Bitcoin Digital Trading Cards,” includes only 119 exclusive cards available to select backers of a previous NFT release.
The Trump Bitcoin NFTs are accessible only to individuals who purchased at least 100 cards from the January 2024 “Mugshot Edition.”
As of now, 31% of the cards have been minted on the Magic Eden marketplace, with the claim period ending on January 31, 2025.
These NFTs are listed at premium prices on Magic Eden, ranging from 0.177 BTC ($16,500) to 20 BTC ($1.8 million). The exclusivity and limited availability of the collection contribute to its high valuation.
Trump’s first NFT collection, launched in December 2022, was a major success, generating over $24 million in sales with more than 14,000 owners.
His January 2024 “Mugshot Edition,” minted on the Polygon network, also performed well, attracting over 6,500 holders.
In August 2024, Trump released the “America First” collection, offering perks like gold sneakers, physical cards, and VIP dinners.
Despite these incentives, the collection reportedly struggled in sales, though some buyers enjoyed exclusive experiences with Trump.
With his latest Bitcoin Ordinals collection, Trump continues to explore the NFT space, leveraging exclusivity and high-value listings to attract attention. Whether this collection will match the success of his earlier ventures remains to be seen.
