Capricorn Clark, a former personal assistant and marketing director for Sean “Diddy” Combs, testified Tuesday (May 27) in the music mogul’s federal sex-trafficking and racketeering trial in Manhattan. Her name has come up multiple times in connection to key moments involving Diddy and Cassie, one of the prosecution’s main witnesses.
Clark worked for Diddy from 2004 to 2020 and was also close friends with Cassie Ventura, his longtime partner. According to court testimony, she had firsthand experiences with Diddy’s controlling and abusive behavior, making her a pivotal witness in backing up Cassie’s claims.
On December 23, 2011, Cassie sent a disturbing email to her mother and Clark, claiming that Diddy had threatened to release sex tapes of her and have her and Kid Cudi physically harmed. She said Diddy stated he’d be out of the country when the attack happened, implying someone else would carry it out.
Kid Cudi’s testimony on May 22 revealed more about Clark’s involvement. Cudi said that after Diddy discovered he was dating Cassie, he helped her hide at a Los Angeles hotel. During this time, he spoke with Clark on the phone and said she sounded terrified and close to tears. He added that Diddy and an associate showed up at his home while Cassie waited outside in a car, seemingly forced to comply.
Another former assistant, David James, said Clark was also a victim of Diddy’s extreme behavior. After high-end jewelry under her watch went missing, Clark was reportedly forced to take a lie detector test to prove she wasn’t involved. James testified that Diddy’s team even began replacing some jewelry with fake pieces to prevent further losses.
Clark’s testimony adds to the growing number of former employees describing fear, control, and intimidation while working under Diddy.
