Sean “Diddy” Combs has demanded an investigation into his access to prison phones during his ongoing trial. This request adds to the growing legal battles surrounding the music mogul, who faces serious charges including alleged sex trafficking and racketeering.
Recently, Diddy’s defense team requested a mistrial, accusing the prosecution of presenting false testimony. This move came after Cassie claimed she saw Diddy allegedly dangling her friend, Bryana “Bana” Bongolan, from a 17th-floor balcony during testimony.
However, Diddy’s lawyers pointed out a text message Cassie sent to Diddy’s employee, Kristina Khorram, that contradicts this claim.
In the message, Cassie allegedly wrote, “I just found out some crazy s*,**” casting doubt on her testimony. The defense also questioned the photos submitted as evidence, showing Bongolan’s injuries dated September 26, 2016.
According to Diddy’s attorneys, he was on the East Coast on that date, making the alleged incident unlikely.
Prosecutors later clarified that the incident Cassie referenced likely occurred on September 29 or 30, not the 26th. The judge has not yet ruled on the mistrial request.
Earlier this week, Bryana Bongolan testified that Diddy dangled her from the balcony before throwing her into furniture, causing neck and back injuries.
Photos showed her wearing a neck brace and having bruises. Bongolan said she sought chiropractic care but did not tell the chiropractor who caused her injuries.
The trial is ongoing, with more developments expected soon.
