Nicki Minaj and former NFL wide receiver Dez Bryant have sparked a heated online exchange following Bryant’s criticism of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. The conflict began on August 3, 2025, after Jones reportedly invoked Bryant’s name and Roc Nation Sports during contract talks with Cowboys star Micah Parsons.
Bryant, who was previously represented by Roc Nation, warned Jones publicly on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “It’s not smart to mention my name.” The comment drew the attention of rapper Nicki Minaj, who has a history of tension with Roc Nation. She responded aggressively, quote-tweeting Bryant and writing, “Let’s play a game. Go beat on your mama like you did last time & we’ll see who gets the last laugh,” referencing past domestic abuse allegations involving Bryant.
Minaj also brought up a 2020 incident in which Bryant appeared to support rapper Meek Mill, a Roc Nation artist and Minaj’s former partner. Bryant responded by accusing Minaj of dragging him into her personal issues with Roc Nation, writing, “I never mentioned you or ROC Nation… she decided to ride that wave.”
The back-and-forth escalated when Bryant replied to a fan by joking, “I’m bout to tell Cardi B on her,” referencing Minaj’s long-standing feud with fellow rapper Cardi B.
The feud has generated significant attention on social media. Some usersnoted that Bryant had no intention of getting involved in Minaj’s disputes. Others described the situation as a “verbal spat” that stemmed from Jones’ original comments.
Minaj’s public support for Jones has drawn further scrutiny, as the Cowboys owner currently faces a civil assault lawsuit. Critics questioned her motives for siding with him.
As of now, the feud remains unresolved, and neither Minaj nor Cardi B has made further comments.
