Aaron Phypers, estranged husband of actress Denise Richards, has filed a police report following a violent argument on July 4, sources say. The incident has intensified the couple’s ongoing divorce dispute.
Phypers was seen entering the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department station in Calabasas over the weekend. Law enforcement confirmed he reported an alleged incident involving vandalism, theft, and assault.
According to Phypers, Richards smashed his cell phone during the fight because it contained messages he found on her laptop, which he claims proved she had been unfaithful. Phypers said he discovered his phone broken in a recycling bin after the confrontation.
Richards, on the other hand, has accused Phypers of verbally abusing her and demanding his phone during the fight. She alleges that when she questioned him about the missing phone, he physically attacked her, leaving scratches and bruises.
Phypers filed for divorce on July 7, citing July 4 as the date of separation. Since then, Richards has obtained a temporary restraining order against him, accusing him of domestic abuse. Phypers denies all allegations of abuse.
The couple’s divorce has become increasingly contentious, with police now involved.
