DC Kicks Off Summer of Superman Lineup with Surprise Wedding

DC Comics is making 2025 a monumental year for Superman. The publisher has unveiled its Summer of Superman lineup, filled with new stories, major events, and exciting debuts. The celebration begins on April 16 with Summer of Superman Special #1, featuring the wedding of Lana Lang and John Henry Irons (Steel).


Lana Lang and Steel Tie the Knot

The Summer of Superman Special #1 is an oversized issue written by Dan Slott, Mark Waid, and Joshua Williamson, with art by Jorge Jiménez. The story celebrates Lana and Steel’s big day, but it’s not all smooth sailing. Threats from the past, present, and future disrupt the ceremony, setting up major conflicts for Superman and his allies.

The 48-page special comes with stunning variant covers, including one featuring Krypto, Superman’s loyal dog.


What’s Next for Superman?

Superman #25 – April 23

Lex Luthor returns in Superman #25, ready to battle for control of Supercorp and Metropolis. Written by Joshua Williamson, this oversized issue features art by Dan Mora, Eddy Barrows, and Eber Ferreira. It continues the story from Summer of Superman Special #1 and begins a new arc featuring Superman’s greatest foe.


Action Comics #1085 – April 9

In Action Comics #1085, Superman heads to the Arctic to investigate a groundbreaking technology aimed at halting global warming. The mission takes a dark turn when a villain threatens humanity’s survival. Written by G. Willow Wilson, the issue concludes the “Superman Superstars” storyline.


Superman: The World – June 24

This anthology brings Superman’s heroics to a global stage. Featuring stories by international creators, Superman: The World showcases the Man of Steel as a universal symbol of hope. The anthology will be released in multiple countries, including Brazil, India, and Germany.


Superman’s Good Guy Gang – July 1

Aimed at younger readers, Superman’s Good Guy Gang introduces an eight-year-old Clark Kent and his friends as they learn to use their powers and become heroes. Written and illustrated by Rob Justus, this graphic novel is perfect for kids aged 5–7.


Celebrate Superman Day

Superman Day on April 18 will feature special releases, including deluxe editions of classic stories like All-Star Superman and Superman Unchained. Fans can also grab a facsimile of Action Comics #1 with a tribute cover by Dan Mora.
