Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 has made history in the Marvel Cinematic Universe—but not in a way Marvel would want. Despite high fan excitement, the show became the first live-action Disney+ Marvel series to not reach Nielsen’s Top 10 original streaming shows list.
The series premiered in March 2025, with its first two episodes reaching 7.5 million views within five days on Disney+. While this was the biggest Disney+ premiere of the year, it fell short compared to other Marvel hits like Loki Season 2, which had 10.9 million views in just three days.
Still, Marvel is betting on Daredevil’s future. Season 2 is already in production, continuing the story with fan-favorite actors Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin.
The upcoming season will also feature returning characters like Karen Page, Foggy Nelson, Bullseye, and Frank Castle, plus new cast members including Krysten Ritter reprising her role as Jessica Jones. This season may also reunite the Defenders, with rumored appearances from Mike Colter and Finn Jones.
Fans can expect Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 to premiere on Disney+ in March 2026.
