Danny Phantom fans have reason to celebrate as a new canonical sequel has been announced. “Danny Phantom: Fair Game,” the follow-up to “A Glitch in Time,” will continue the beloved Nickelodeon character’s adventures in graphic novel format.
Author and illustrator Gabriela Epstein returns to helm this new installment, scheduled for release on November 4th through Abrams Books. The story picks up directly after the events of the previous graphic novel, exploring unresolved tensions between Danny and Valerie.
The new story’s premise finds Danny Phantom as public enemy number one, with Casper High School revamping its curriculum to address the perceived ghost threat.
While Danny struggles to implement his new understanding of ghosts, Valerie Gray rises as the school’s premier ghost hunter. The plot centers around Danny’s efforts to help Wulf, a ghost friend, locate a missing wolf cub before the ghost hunters can capture it.
This release marks another significant expansion of the Danny Phantom universe, which has maintained a devoted following since its original Nickelodeon run.
Unlike Butch Hartman’s other creation, The Fairly OddParents, Danny Phantom hasn’t received as many revivals or adaptations, making this new graphic novel particularly special for fans.
The series’ unique blend of teen superhero action and ghost-hunting adventure has kept it relevant years after its television conclusion. “Fair Game” promises to continue this tradition while exploring new territory in the Danny Phantom mythology.
