Cyberpunk 2077 has just received a major graphics upgrade, and this time it’s making waves on a new platform. CD Projekt RED surprised fans by showing the game running on the latest MacBook Pro with the M4 Max chip.
At a special event held at Apple Park, the developers showcased Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition running at 120 frames per second on Ultra settings. This version includes the base game, the popular Phantom Liberty expansion, and major updates to the game’s systems. It’s also fully optimized to run smoothly on macOS.
The event gave international press and content creators a first look at the game’s stunning performance on Apple’s latest hardware. Paweł Sasko, the associate game director, confirmed the news on social media, exciting fans even more.
Cyberpunk 2077 has come a long way since its troubled launch in 2020. Thanks to regular updates, it’s now seen as one of the top RPGs on the market. It’s already available on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2, and now it’s headed to MacBook Pro in 2025.
This move shows that even though most of CDPR’s team is focused on new projects like The Witcher 4 and the Cyberpunk sequel, they are still improving the original game.
Fans can expect Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition on Mac later this year, and the impressive graphics and smooth performance promise to make the wait worth it.
