Remedy Entertainment has announced that Control Ultimate Edition will launch on Mac on February 12, 2025. This marks the first time the critically acclaimed action-adventure game will be available on macOS.
The Ultimate Edition includes the base game, two expansions (The Foundation and AWE), and all post-launch updates. Players take on the role of Jesse Faden, uncovering the mysteries of the Federal Bureau of Control with telekinetic powers and shape-shifting weapons.
Inspired by the “new weird” literary genre, the game has earned over 80 awards since its release in 2019.
Although specific system requirements for Mac haven’t been shared, the game is expected to demand an M-series chip due to its high-performance graphics and physics engine.
The announcement was revealed during Remedy’s Capital Markets Day, with the company also confirming that development on Control 2 is ongoing, though further details were not disclosed.
Control Ultimate Edition has previously been available on Windows PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, making this a significant step for macOS gamers.
