Remedy Entertainment has announced that Control 2 will be an action RPG. This is a change from the original game, which was an action-adventure title. The announcement came during an investor presentation.

Remedy also shared updates on its other projects. Alan Wake 2 has sold over 1.8 million copies. The “ultimate edition” of Control will be released for Mac on February 12, 2025, and a free update with more content will follow next year.

Remedy is working on an interconnected universe for its games. This includes franchises like Control, Alan Wake, and a new multiplayer game called FBC: Firebreak. Creative director Sam Lake said that creating a shared universe in games is a unique idea.

Remedy is also exploring films and TV shows based on its franchises through a partnership with Annapurna. However, this project is still in the early stages.

Currently, FBC: Firebreak is in full production, while Control 2 is in the early stages of development.
