Confidence Man KR Confirms Cast and Release Date for Coupang Play Drama

Coupang Play has officially announced the cast and premiere date for its upcoming drama series Confidence Man KR. The show, set to debut on September 6, will feature Park Min Young, Park Hee Soon, and Joo Jong Hyuk in leading roles.

Confidence Man KR is a Korean adaptation of the popular 2018 Japanese drama The Confidence Man JP. The series follows three skilled con artists who use their unique talents to scam corrupt villains from various industries.

Park Min Young will play Yoon Yi Rang, the leader of the group. Her character has an IQ of 165 and is known for her sharp mind, unusual thinking, and cool charisma.

Park Hee Soon will portray James, a veteran con artist with a clever sense of humor and quick wit. His character brings experience and versatility to the team.

Joo Jong Hyuk will play Myung Gu Ho, the youngest member of the group. His character is known for his sincerity and playful charm, adding a lighter tone to the trio’s schemes.

In addition to the main cast, special appearances by Song Ji Hyo and Lee Yi Kyung, Park Min Young’s co-star from Marry My Husband, have also been confirmed.

The series will be directed by Nam Ki Hoon, known for projects like Big Bet and Kiss Sixth Sense. The script is written by Hong Seung Hyun, who previously worked on Criminal Minds and Cheo Yong.

Confidence Man KR will premiere on September 6 at 9:10 p.m. KST.
