Coldplay has announced the release of their new album, “Moon Music,” set to drop on October 4, 2024. The album marks the follow-up to their 2021 release, “Music of the Spheres.”
The band has also revealed the first single, “feelslikeimfallinginlove,” which will be released on June 21, 2024.

The album will be available in various formats, including a 140g EcoRecord rPET LP, which is the first of its kind. Each copy will be crafted from nine recycled PET-plastic bottles taken from post-consumer waste, reducing CO2 emissions by 85% during manufacturing.
The CD version will be made from 90% recycled polycarbonate, sourced from post-consumer waste, resulting in a 78% reduction in CO2 emissions during production.The album’s tracklist has not been officially confirmed, but it is expected to include recent singles and snippets sourced from streaming services, PRO’s, and social media.
The band has hinted that the album will be a continuation of their “Music of the Spheres” series, with Chris Martin mentioning that the band will incorporate some of the new songs into their ongoing tour.
The “Music of the Spheres World Tour” will continue into 2025, with Coldplay performing songs from both “Music of the Spheres” and “Moon Music.” The tour has seen a significant reduction in CO2 emissions compared to their previous stadium tour, with a 59% reduction in emissions.
Coldplay has been committed to sustainability throughout their career, and “Moon Music” is no exception. The album’s physical releases will be eco-friendly, with each copy containing recycled materials and reducing waste.
Fans can pre-order “Moon Music” in various formats, including the Notebook Edition EcoRecord rPET LP, which features 28 pages of previously unseen notes, lyrics, and illustrations from the making of the album.
The album’s release date is set for October 4, 2024, with the first single, “feelslikeimfallinginlove,” available on June 21, 2024.
