Meta is set to make a splash during Super Bowl LIX with a commercial promoting its Ray-Ban Meta Glasses, a smart wearable that allows users to take photos, record videos, listen to music, and make calls.

The commercial, which will feature Hollywood stars Chris Hemsworth and Chris Pratt, will highlight the glasses’ AI-powered features, voice command functionality, and built-in camera and open-ear audio.

The ad, directed by Matthew Vaughn, will air during the February 9 broadcast of the Big Game on Fox.

Meta’s strategy involves using the star power of Hemsworth and Pratt to captivate audiences and introduce the Ray-Ban Meta Glasses, a product designed to seamlessly integrate into daily life while offering an immersive tech experience.

Meta has previously used the Super Bowl to promote its Meta Quest 2 headset and Horizon Worlds, and now it’s turning its attention to the growing wearable tech market.

With wearable devices expected to see continued growth in 2024, Meta hopes its push into the smart glasses space will capture consumer interest and push the boundaries of how technology fits into everyday routines.
