CD Projekt is set to reveal the long-awaited Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.3 tomorrow, July 16, during a livestream event. The update was originally scheduled for June 26 but was delayed without specific details. Now, it appears the wait is nearly over, with reports suggesting the patch could launch as early as July 17.
In a post on Bluesky, CD Projekt hinted that new automotive features will be part of the 2.3 update. “We’re driving into Patch 2.3 of Cyberpunk 2077 to check what’s under the hood,” the company said, teasing a focus on vehicles. Associate Game Director Paweł Sasko and Virtuos Lead Designer Adrien Jouannet will present the livestream.
According to GamesRadar, the 2.3 update will include new Photo Mode features, additional cars, and other enhancements. The report also states that the update could go live on July 17, alongside the release of the long-awaited Mac version of Cyberpunk 2077.
CD Projekt has not confirmed the release date, but a same-day launch would not be unusual. The game’s previous 2.2 update followed a similar pattern, being revealed and released on the same day.
However, fans hoping for a New Game+ mode may be disappointed. CD Projekt has not mentioned this feature, and in the past, the studio has said it was not part of their plans.
The Cyberpunk 2077 2.3 update livestream will begin at 5 PM CEST / 11 AM ET / 8 AM PT on July 16, available on YouTube and Twitch.
