James Bond’s infamous villain Le Chiffre is making a dramatic comeback — but not in a film. IO Interactive has announced that the fan-favourite villain from Casino Royale, portrayed by Mads Mikkelsen, will appear as an elusive target in Hitman: World of Assassination.
Revealed during Summer Game Fest, this limited-time crossover event marks a major blend of the Hitman and James Bond franchises. The mission places Le Chiffre in a casino-style version of Paris, giving players a fresh but familiar setting to hunt him down.
In a twist of cinematic crossover, Mikkelsen reprises his role, lending both voice and likeness to the digital version of Le Chiffre. Players will only get one shot to eliminate him, as elusive targets in Hitman come with no retries.
The mission is part of The Banker DLC, launching with exclusive cosmetic rewards and a bonus unlockable item that can be carried into IO Interactive’s upcoming Bond title, 007: First Light, releasing in 2026.
Le Chiffre is available now from June 6 to July 6, giving fans a rare opportunity to face off against one of Bond’s most memorable enemies in a completely new format.
More details are expected from IO Interactive’s first-ever showcase later today, where updates about the future of both Hitman and 007: First Light will be shared.
