Activision is closing down Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, just over a year after its launch in March 2024. The game will be removed from the App Store and Google Play after Sunday, May 18, 2025, the company announced on X (formerly Twitter).

The game did not meet Activision’s expectations with mobile players, even though it shared progress with the console and PC versions of Warzone.

Players who have the game installed before May 19 can still play. Servers and matchmaking will stay active, and progress will continue to sync across devices.

However, there will be no new updates or seasonal content, and social features between platforms will stop working.

Players also won’t be able to buy in-game items with real money anymore. Activision said they will not give refunds for past purchases or unused COD Points.

Warzone Mobile was part of Microsoft’s plan to grow in mobile gaming after buying Activision. But it did not become as popular as the PC and console versions.
