BTS surprised fans worldwide with an unannounced full-group live broadcast on Weverse on Sunday evening. It marked the group’s first appearance together since all seven members completed their mandatory military service earlier this year.

The live stream began around 8 p.m. KST and quickly drew millions of viewers. RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook appeared together in casual outfits and greeted fans with their signature group chant.

During the broadcast, the members shared that they have been practicing and spending time together again. Suga said the group is preparing seriously for its next chapter and called 2026 “the year of BTS.” He also teased a new album, describing it as “crazy,” without giving further details.

RM added that fans can expect major updates soon, possibly before the end of the year or in early 2026. Industry sources have previously reported that BTS is planning a full comeback in 2026, following their reunification in 2025.

The members also spoke briefly about the challenges of returning after a long break. Jin said the group has rested and grown and is ready to return stronger. V mentioned the importance of better support for artists during busy comeback periods.

The live ended on a festive note, with holiday greetings and a short a cappella moment led by Jungkook. Fans quickly flooded social media, pushing hashtags related to BTS’s reunion to worldwide trends.

The surprise broadcast has fueled anticipation for BTS’s official comeback and confirmed that full-group activities are now underway.
