Seoul is experiencing a major boost in tourism and local business as thousands of BTS fans from around the world visit the city ahead of the group’s full comeback.

With Jimin and Jungkook recently discharged from military service on June 11, excitement is building among ARMY, BTS’s global fandom. The group will fully reunite once Suga completes his service on June 21. This also coincides with BTS’s 12th anniversary, celebrated on June 13.

Popular BTS-related locations across Seoul, like the HYBE headquarters in Yongsan and cafes tied to the group’s history, have seen visitor traffic skyrocket. Convenience stores and restaurants that BTS members once visited are reporting record sales, with some tripling their daily income.

Hotels near Myeong-dong, a hub for K-pop merchandise, have been fully booked for months, while stores like LINE FRIENDS Square are seeing BT21 merchandise sell out fast.

Fans are sharing detailed BTS travel guides online, especially on platforms like China’s RedNote, helping others navigate this “K-pop pilgrimage.”

The excitement culminated at BTS Festa 2025, where over 100,000 fans gathered to celebrate the group’s anniversary. With the full reunion just days away, Seoul’s K-pop scene is more vibrant than ever.
