BTS is officially ready for a full group comeback as Suga has completed his mandatory military service. With his discharge, all seven members of the global K-pop group have now fulfilled their national duty in South Korea.
BTS’ agency, Big Hit Music, confirmed that Suga completed his alternative service earlier this week. His official discharge date is June 21, but he used his remaining leave days to finish before that. The agency chose not to hold a public event for his return due to concerns about large crowds.
Unlike his fellow members who served in the army, Suga served as a social service agent because of his past shoulder surgery. He was the last member to finish military service.
The path is now clear for BTS to reunite as a complete group. Big Hit has already announced that the group is preparing for a comeback in 2026.
Earlier this month, RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook were discharged after starting their service in December 2023. Jin completed his duties in June 2024, and J-Hope finished in October 2024. Now, with all members back, BTS is ready to begin the next chapter of their global journey.
South Korea requires all able-bodied men to serve in the military for about 18 to 21 months. While there were debates in the past about giving BTS an exemption, the group chose to serve voluntarily.
Fans worldwide are now excited for BTS’ long-awaited reunion in 2026.
