Pop star Britney Spears deactivated her Instagram account on November 2, 2025, following a series of concerning posts and a public feud with her ex-husband Kevin Federline. The removal of her profile comes amid heightened media attention surrounding Federline’s newly released memoir.

As of Sunday, Spears’ Instagram was no longer accessible, with a message appearing that her “profile may have been removed.” In recent weeks, fans had expressed growing concern over some of her posts, particularly a video shared in early October. The video, which showed Spears with bruises on her arms and bandages on her hands, was accompanied by a caption explaining that she had fallen down stairs at a friend’s house.

Spears, 43, explained in her post that her injuries were not serious, but also shared emotional reflections about her children, Jayden James, 19, and Sean Preston, 20, who live with Federline in Hawaii. She added that her social media posts, including videos of her dancing, were a form of self-expression and prayer, and requested that followers not offer pity or concern.

“I’m not here for concern or pity, I just want to be a good woman and be better,” Spears wrote in one post. “I have wonderful support, so have a brilliant day!!!”

Further posts raised additional worries about her mental and emotional state. On October 19, she reflected on her time in rehab during her 13-year conservatorship, speaking about the trauma she experienced and claiming that “brain damage happened to me.” She also referenced her 2023 memoir, The Woman in Me, in which she described the harrowing effects of being under conservatorship.

The deletion of her Instagram account follows a bitter public dispute with Federline, whose memoir, You Thought You Knew, includes controversial claims about their marriage and his relationship with their children. Federline’s book touches on accusations of poor parenting and personal struggles, including his fears for her well-being.

In response, Spears has openly criticized Federline on social media. In an October 15 post, she accused him of “gaslighting” her and defending her role as a mother. “To be loved unconditionally and with a naive heart like mine, always being threatened or made to believe I’m the bad one as they profit off my pain,” she wrote. She also questioned his intentions, asking, “Why is HE SO ANGRY?”

Spears’ team issued a statement in response to the release of Federline’s book, emphasizing that his public statements were a continuation of profiting off her personal life. The statement added that Spears’ primary focus remains the well-being of her sons, despite the ongoing media drama.

As the situation unfolds, fans and the public continue to watch closely, with many hoping for a resolution that prioritizes Spears’ health and privacy.
