R&B singer Brent Faiyaz has announced his new album, Icon, which is scheduled to be released on September 19, 2025. The announcement came via Faiyaz’s Instagram Story on July 3, revealing the album title, possible cover art, and the release date.

The album will drop on the same day as Cardi B’s Am I the Drama?, creating excitement among fans. Faiyaz will begin the album rollout on July 4 with the release of two singles named after famous fictional characters, “Tony Soprano” and “Peter Pan.”

Known for his smooth vocal style, Faiyaz shared a snippet from one of the singles, singing, “I wish that I could breathe underwater / I’ll swim to the deepest ocean to be where you are, babe.”

Icon is Faiyaz’s first studio album since 2022’s Wasteland, which reached number two on the Billboard 200 chart. In 2023, he released a mixtape titled Larger Than Life, featuring artists like Missy Elliott, A$AP Rocky, and Coco Jones.

Ahead of the mixtape, Faiyaz signed a major distribution deal with UnitedMasters and launched his own record label and creative agency, ISO Supremacy. He has spoken about his artistic growth, emphasizing his role in promoting creative freedom in the music industry.
