A new documentary spotlighting global K-pop sensation Lisa of BLACKPINK is officially in production, as announced by Sony Music Vision during a project preview event.
The film, developed in collaboration with LLOUD CO., RCA Records, and Tremolo Productions, will follow a full year in Lisa’s life as she steps away from BLACKPINK to focus on her solo career.
Award-winning filmmaker Sue Kim will direct the project. Known for The Last of the Sea Women and The Speed Cubers, Kim promises a unique and personal look into Lisa’s world.
“There have been so many moments that I think will surprise people and give a glimpse into her world that no one’s ever seen before,” said Kim.
Lisa echoed the sentiment, calling the experience “incredible” and hinting at “more exciting things to come.”
Exclusive clips previewed at the event showed Lisa’s 2025 Coachella solo debut and intimate scenes filmed in her native Thailand. The documentary will reportedly focus on offstage moments and showcase a more personal side of the international star.
The Lisa documentary is part of a broader slate from Sony Music Vision, which also includes upcoming films on Barbra Streisand, Oasis, and Elvis Presley.
