With Blackpink’s 2025 World Tour set to begin in July, fans are eagerly asking: Will the reunion include a new album? While there is no official release date yet, Lisa dropped hints about new music at the 2025 Met Gala.
“It’s coming soon, I promise,” she told Variety on May 5. This announcement has sparked excitement among fans, who are hoping for new tunes from the global K-pop sensation.
The Blackpink 2025 Reunion
Three of the four Blackpink members—Lisa, Jennie, and Rosé—have been making public appearances together recently. They’ve attended events like Coachella, showing fans that Blackpink is still going strong.
Jisoo has focused on her solo projects, but she expressed her eagerness to reunite with the group. “We’ve been sharing ideas and preparing for this year,” Jisoo said in February 2025. “Working solo is amazing, but it can be a little lonely sometimes.”

While Lisa made a splash at the Met Gala, her appearance also stirred controversy. Her Louis Vuitton outfit included an image of civil rights activist Rosa Parks, which sparked some backlash. However, Lisa also shared exciting news about the group’s future music, including her love for Labubus and a new collaboration with Bose.
Blackpink’s 2025 World Tour
Starting in July, Blackpink will embark on their World Tour, with stops in cities across Asia, Europe, and North America. The tour will begin in Seoul and end in Tokyo in January 2026.
The previous Born Pink World Tour was the highest-grossing tour by a female group, and fans are excited to see what this new tour will bring. Tickets for certain cities are still available, with many cities, including Goyang, South Korea, selling out quickly.
New Music on the Way
Although no specific release date for a new album has been confirmed, Lisa and Rosé have assured fans that new music is coming. “We were in the studio a few days ago,” Lisa said. “We can’t wait to see our fans again on tour and share our new music with them.”

Will Blackpink Continue Their Solo Projects?
While Blackpink’s success as a group continues to grow, the members have also found success as solo artists. Jisoo’s movie The Prophet: Omniscient Reader will release in July, and she may need to balance her world tour with press commitments. Rosé’s album from last year surpassed 1 billion streams, and she could release more hits like her collaboration with Bruno Mars.
Jennie’s album Ruby, released in March 2025, quickly gained popularity, crossing 800 million streams. With her solo success, Jennie might continue to release new music alongside Blackpink’s group projects.
Lisa, too, has had a busy year, performing at Coachella and debuting in The White Lotus. She has her own management company, Lloud, and remains a fashion icon, recently signing with Louis Vuitton as a brand ambassador.
Despite their solo successes, the group is committed to coming together for their 2025 tour and future projects. Fans are in for an exciting year as Blackpink takes the stage and continues to break records.
