JISOO has officially stepped into her solo spotlight. The BLACKPINK star released her first solo mini-album, AMORTAGE, on February 14, making it a perfect gift for fans on Valentine’s Day.
The album has four songs: “Earthquake,” “Your Love,” “Tears,” and “Hugs & Kisses.” JISOO co-wrote all the tracks with Jordan Roman and other collaborators.
The songs were produced by Blissoo and The Wavys. She described the title AMORTAGE as a mix of “amour” (love) and “montage,” symbolizing different moments of love.
This marks JISOO’s first full solo project, following her 2023 singles “FLOWER” and “All Eyes on Me.” With this release, she joins BLACKPINK members LISA, JENNIE, and ROSÉ, who have also pursued solo music.
JISOO has already made history with BLACKPINK, helping the group land nine Billboard Hot 100 hits and become the third South Korean act to top the Billboard 200 with their album Born Pink. In 2023, BLACKPINK also became the first Korean act to headline Coachella.
AMORTAGE is JISOO’s first release under Warner Records, where she signed a global label deal in January. Speaking about the partnership, she said, “This is just the beginning. I’m excited to start this new chapter with Warner Records and continue my musical journey.”
Fans can now stream AMORTAGE on all major music platforms.
