J. Cole has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with his new album, J. Cole’s The Fall-Off, marking the biggest first week for an R&B or hip-hop album in nearly a year. The album sold 280,000 equivalent units, just shy of Playboi Carti’s “Music” from March of last year.
Bad Bunny also had a huge week following the Super Bowl. His new album, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, landed at No. 2 with 250,000 units, a personal best. His older album, Un Verano Sin Ti, jumped back into the top 10 at No. 6, selling 81,000 units, a 163% increase.
K-pop act Ateez debuted at No. 3 with 200,000 units for Golden Hour: Part 4. Despite strong sales fueled by 25 physical variants, they were outpaced by J. Cole and Bad Bunny.
Last week’s No. 1, Don Toliver’s Octane, fell to No. 4 with 97,000 units, a 40% drop but still a solid second-week hold.
Other notable entries in the top 10 include Morgan Wallen at No. 7 with I’m the Problem, Olivia Dean at No. 8 with The Art of Loving, Taylor Swift at No. 9 with The Life of a Showgirl, and KPop Demon Hunters rounding out the top 10.
This week’s chart highlights J. Cole’s dominance, Bad Bunny’s post-Super Bowl surge, and the growing influence of K-pop in global album sales.
Fans can expect fierce competition in the coming weeks as new releases and ongoing hits continue to drive streaming and physical sales across genres.
