A new documentary movie about the life of DJ and music producer Avicii will make its first showing at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City in June.
The documentary is called “Avicii – I’m Tim.” It was directed by Henrik Burman. The movie includes interviews with other famous musicians like David Guetta, Chris Martin from Coldplay, and Nile Rodgers. It also has never-before-seen footage and photos of Avicii when he was younger.
The documentary tells the story of Avicii’s life and rise to fame as one of the biggest names in electronic dance music before his death in 2018 at age 28. The description says “Before there was Avicii, there was just Tim” and calls him a “shy but talented musician who became a defining artist of his generation.”
The Tribeca Film Festival is one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world. It will run from June 5-16 in New York City this year. Release details for when and where the general public can watch “Avicii – I’m Tim” after its premiere have not been announced yet.
Avicii, whose real name was Tim Bergling, struggled with mental health issues and died by suicide in 2018 at the peak of his career. This new documentary aims to explore his life and musical journey.
