Attack on Titan Gets Official Craft Gin Release, “Shingeki no KyoGIN”

Fans of Attack on Titan now have a new way to celebrate the end of humanity’s battle against the titans—with a drink in hand. A new officially licensed craft gin called “Shingeki no KyoGIN” has been announced and will go on sale in Japan starting July 1, 2025.

The name is a pun on the anime’s Japanese title, Shingeki no Kyojin, replacing “Kyojin” (meaning titan) with “KyoGIN.” The drink is a collaboration between Tokyo Hachioji Distillery and longtime Attack on Titan fan and gin enthusiast Takashi Ario. Ario reportedly pitched the idea several times before finally securing approval from both the distillery and Attack on Titan manga publisher Kodansha.

The gin features a bold 43% alcohol content and is made from non-GMO corn spirits imported from Europe. It’s infused with natural botanicals and is described as “the world’s most delicious gin in this cruel yet beautiful world,” quoting the anime’s iconic opening.

The bottle design includes a looming titan image and a quote from protagonist Eren Yeager: “You are free!”—a fitting message for fans looking to unwind after a long day (or a long battle).

The standard 700 ml bottle is priced at 6,600 yen (around $46 USD), while the version with a gift box costs 7,150 yen (around $50 USD). Sales will be available in stores and online across Japan. No international release has been announced yet.

Until then, fans outside Japan can rewatch Attack on Titan in full on Crunchyroll, while hoping the gin makes its way overseas.
