Apple TV+ has unveiled the official trailer for ‘Pluribus,’ a dystopian sci-fi drama created, written, and directed by Vince Gilligan, known for Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.

The series stars Rhea Seehorn as Carol Sturka, a historical romance author who is the only person unaffected by a mysterious virus that spreads overwhelming happiness across the global population. Set in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the story follows Carol as she navigates a surreal and unsettling world while trying to uncover the truth behind the virus.

The trailer depicts a world where everyone except Carol is unnaturally cheerful, blending dark humor with suspense. Carol faces the challenge of surviving the outbreak while doctors try to study her immunity and change her.

Other cast members include Karolina Wydra and Carlos-Manuel Vesga, with guest appearances by Samba Schutte and Miriam Shor. Gilligan’s series mixes dark comedy and science fiction, with a story that promises both intrigue and humor as Carol reluctantly takes on the responsibility of saving humanity.

Pluribus will premiere globally on November 7, 2025, with the first two episodes released at once. Subsequent episodes will air weekly through December 26. The series has already been picked up for two seasons, reflecting strong confidence in Gilligan’s storytelling.
