Apple has officially announced that it will hold a major launch event on September 9 at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California.

The event, set to begin at 10 AM Pacific Time, will introduce the new iPhone 17 series, including the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

The company has described the event with the tagline “awe dropping,” a play on the words “awe-inspiring” and “jaw-dropping.” The timing of the event corresponds to 1 PM in New York, 6 PM in London, 7 PM in Central Europe, and 10:30 PM in India.

Among the new devices, the iPhone 17 Air is expected to attract significant attention. It replaces the previous Plus model and will feature a very slim design, measuring under 6mm in thickness.

However, this compact size comes with compromises, including a single rear camera and a smaller battery, leaving questions about how consumers will respond.

The September 9 event will likely also showcase other Apple products and software updates, continuing the company’s tradition of high-profile fall launches.
