Apple Releases First Beta of iOS 18.6 — What’s Coming Next?

iOS 18

Apple has released the first beta of iOS 18.6 and iPadOS 18.6 for developers. The new beta arrives more than a month after Apple launched iOS 18.5.

Developers can download the beta from the Settings app by going to General > Software Update. An Apple ID linked to a developer account is required.

One of the main expectations for iOS 18.6 is the possible introduction of Apple Intelligence in China. Apple is reportedly planning to work with Alibaba and Baidu to bring its AI features to Chinese users. However, regulatory challenges might delay the release of these features.

No other major features have been confirmed yet for iOS 18.6. Apple is already focusing most of its efforts on iOS 26, which is currently in beta testing and is expected to be released in September.

For now, developers will explore the new beta as Apple prepares for its next major iOS update.
