Apple is getting ready to release iOS 26.0.1, the first bug-fix update for its new iOS 26 software, according to reports from a reliable source on X (formerly Twitter).

The update is expected to arrive soon after iOS 26 debuted earlier this week with its new Liquid Glass design and other major changes.

The update will carry the build number 23A35, but Apple has not yet detailed the specific fixes it will include. It is expected to address early issues reported by users, including faster battery drain, occasional system lag, and overheating in some scenarios such as CarPlay use.

Apple has also confirmed it is working on a software patch for a “very rare” camera bug affecting the new iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro models.

With the iPhone Air and iPhone 17 set for release to the public today, iOS 26.0.1 is expected to be rolled out quickly to ensure stability for new devices.

In addition, Apple is likely to begin beta testing iOS 26.1 as early as next week, continuing its regular cycle of updates following a major iOS release.
