Apple will not release the new Calendar and Health app updates with iOS 26. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, these updates will arrive in iOS 27, likely in 2026.
The Calendar app was expected to get smarter with features from Mayday Labs, a company Apple bought in 2024. Mayday had an AI tool that helped users schedule meetings and tasks automatically. It could also adjust schedules based on habits and shared availability.
The Health app was supposed to get an AI-powered coach. This feature would give users personalized health tips based on their data. Apple now says it needs more time to finish it.
While iOS 26 will still bring a new design and other app improvements, these two upgrades are not ready yet. Apple wants to avoid releasing them before they are fully developed.
