Apple has delayed the launch of its smart display and HomePod speaker to late 2025 due to software issues, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

These devices, powered by the A18 chipset, will now release alongside a smart IP camera planned for 2026.

Smart Display Details

Apple’s smart display will feature a 6-inch or 7-inch screen and be a hub for its smart home ecosystem.

With the A18 chipset, the device will integrate Apple Intelligence features and enhance compatibility across Apple products.

Upcoming Smart IP Camera

In 2026, Apple plans to release a smart IP camera that seamlessly works with the HomePod. This aligns with Apple’s vision to expand its smart home ecosystem.

Future Smart Home Products

Apple is also exploring additional smart home devices, including:

  • A high-end tabletop device with a robotic arm
  • More advanced smart home cameras
  • Potential smart TVs

These products will roll out over the next decade, reflecting Apple’s strategy for long-term growth in the smart home market.

Apple’s delays show a focus on delivering quality products with strong integration.

As Apple expands its smart home lineup, competition in this market is expected to grow, offering users more innovative and connected solutions.
