Apple has awarded Speechify the 2025 Apple Design Award for Inclusivity, just days before the start of its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC).

Apple praised Speechify as “a critical resource that helps people live their lives.” The app was recognized for its easy-to-use design, powerful accessibility features, and wide support for over 50 languages.

Speechify allows users to listen to written content like websites, PDFs, and documents using realistic voice options. It supports Dynamic Type, VoiceOver, and other tools that help users with dyslexia, ADHD, vision impairments, and other learning differences.

Speechify’s CEO and Founder, Cliff Weitzman, created the app to help manage his own dyslexia during college. Today, Speechify users listen to billions of words every week.

“This recognition from Apple means the world to us,” said Weitzman. “Over a billion people face learning challenges. We want to make sure reading is never a barrier to learning.”

Speechify will officially accept the award on stage at WWDC on Monday, June 9th at 1pm PT, just before Apple’s State of the Union address.

About Speechify:
