AirPods Pro 3 Announced: 8-Hour Battery, Live Translation, and Health Tracking

Apple has introduced the AirPods Pro 3 at its September 9 event, highlighting major upgrades in sound, translation, health tracking, and battery life.

The new earbuds feature Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) that is twice as effective as the AirPods Pro 2 and four times stronger than the original AirPods Pro, according to the company. The design remains largely unchanged, but the internal hardware has been significantly reworked.

One of the standout features is Live Translation, powered by Apple Intelligence. The feature allows iPhones to translate speech in real time during conversations. If both participants are wearing AirPods Pro 3, translations can flow naturally in both directions.

Apple has also added heart rate sensing during workouts, expanding the device’s role in health monitoring. The AirPods Pro 3 are rated IP57, offering better protection against dust and water. To enhance comfort, Apple has introduced foam-infused ear tips, designed to provide a better fit for extended use.

The earbuds now deliver 6 to 8 hours of battery life on a single charge. Pricing remains the same as the previous generation, starting at $249, with availability beginning September 19.

The announcement marks the first major upgrade to Apple’s premium earbuds lineup in two years, combining stronger noise cancellation with artificial intelligence and fitness features.
