Apple’s 2025 Home Products: HomePad, New Apple TV 4K, and HomePod mini 2 Expected

Apple is gearing up for a major push into the smart home market in 2025, with three new Home products expected to hit the market.

These devices, designed to enhance the smart home ecosystem, include the highly anticipated HomePad, a new version of Apple TV 4K, and the second-generation HomePod mini.

HomePad: A New Smart Home Device

The most exciting addition to Apple’s Home lineup in 2025 is the HomePad. This device is expected to be a wall-mounted display with a 6-inch screen, resembling a square iPad.

It will feature built-in speakers, a camera, and a rechargeable battery, and is designed to integrate Apple Intelligence with an upgraded Siri.

Key features of the HomePad include:

  • AI-powered Siri integration
  • StandBy-like widgets and Home app controls
  • Slideshow functionality from Photos app
  • Built-in security camera and video/audio intercom
  • FaceTime support
  • Apple apps like Safari, Music, and Notes

Initially slated for a March release, the HomePad might launch in April, alongside the iOS 18.4 update.

This device could mark the beginning of a new category in Apple’s Home products.

New Apple TV 4K

The Apple TV 4K is also set for an update in 2025. While details are limited, the new version will likely feature:

  • Apple Intelligence integration
  • A18 or A17 Pro chip for AI support
  • New in-house Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chip

It’s expected that the new Apple TV 4K will support the latest TV display technologies, though the design and operating system will likely remain similar to the current model. This device is expected to arrive later in the year.

HomePod mini 2

The HomePod mini has remained unchanged since its 2020 release, but the HomePod mini 2 is expected to debut in 2025. While specific features are still under wraps, it will likely include:

  • Apple’s new Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chip
  • Potential integration with Apple Intelligence
  • Closer integration with devices like the HomePad and iPhone

The HomePod mini 2 is expected to maintain its focus as an affordable smart speaker, but with more advanced capabilities as part of the broader Apple ecosystem.

Apple’s Home Product Strategy

Apple’s increased focus on Home products signals a more serious commitment to the smart home market, moving beyond the “hobby” phase it had previously embraced.

With these new devices, Apple aims to create a powerful ecosystem that could lead to more innovative products in the future, potentially even a revival of the AirPort brand.

Apple’s 2025 Home product lineup is shaping up to be an exciting step forward in the smart home space. If these devices live up to their potential, they could significantly enhance the functionality and convenience of home automation.

Stay tuned for more updates as we learn more about these products in the coming months!
